So KWAR was fun, it was the First one I have been to. But for me it felt alot like Kingdom Crusades, with just an extra hour drive.. ohh yeah and drier too.
It seemed like much the same players as Crusades was, Easterners, Atlantians, and Aethelmarcians.
The classes were uninspiring to me, i must say. I went to only one that interested me of the many. Part of the problem being, i want to concentrate on getting good at Spanish Rapier before moving onto anything else.
I spent the day outside fencing, and I got to fence a few new people but lots of people were being good and actually taking classes. (Bad Pascual, no cookie)
Seeing my friends from out of kingdom was nice, but very little, as I was getting ready to leave sunday morning, I Realized just how many friends I seem to have. I wasn't able to get more than 2-3 steps before seeing someone else that i should say goodbye to, it was rather amusing to me, not sure if my g/f was as amused.
I had alot of fun Saturday nite sitting around drinking and playing with my blackwork project. I think i am ready to actually start something, so now i have to get my hands on some linen and pattern out a shirt. I Think My first work will be a nice blackwork shirt for myself for court Garb. I really don't have much court specific Garb and figure maybe i will take a stab at it. I think I will next talk to Mercedes, who is giving me guidance in this artsy endeavor, for suggestions on how to go about such things.
All in all a good event, I would like to get to one further away from home for the exposure to new people, I think that may add something to the event that i didn't get out of this years.

Re: You're spanish, you play rapier....
Yup that was the only class i took. It was ok.. but lacked anything that i really hadn't already known. And didn't leave much time for playing with the other 4 people in the class.
